Two souls, one journey, infinite love

Our Special Day

We can't quite believe the day is almost here, and we couldn't be happier that we'll be sharing it with all of you. Thank you for being part of our story — whether you've known us since childhood, met us along the way, or are joining us through family and friends. Your love, support, and laughter have shaped who we are as a couple, and having you there will make this celebration feel complete.

This day isn't about anything fancy or perfect. It's about two people who found home in each other and about the community that has held us up to get here. We're a little nervous, mostly excited, and full of gratitude that you're taking the time to travel, to dress up, and to stand with us as we start this next chapter together.

We hope you'll feel the warmth in the room, because it will be coming from all of you. Eat well, dance badly, tell stories, and make memories with us that we'll be talking about for years. Every smile, every hug, and every cheer means the world.

Thank you for loving us, for showing up, and for making this day feel like the beginning of something beautiful. We're so glad you'll be there to celebrate love with us.

FAQs

How many days is the wedding celebration?

The wedding festivities span two days.

  • Day one, 08 August: the matrimonial ceremony, followed by the umembeso celebration.
  • Day two, 09 August: the Umgcagco & Umabo ceremonies, culminating in a reception to close the celebrations.

How will the matrimonial ceremony work?

The service follows the Anglican matrimonial liturgy. When you arrive you'll find a QR code you can scan to follow the full order of service on your phone, and it will also be displayed on the projector throughout — so you can follow along easily whether or not you know the liturgy.

Where do we park?

There is parking at the church, and overflow parking is available along the roadside. The area is tourist-friendly and safe.

Can we bring our phones out during the ceremony?

We ask that you keep phones away during the ceremony — we've hired professional photographers and videographers to record our union. For the rest of the wedding, please record as many memories as you like.

What should we wear?

Day one is shades of nude, brown, peach and green. Day two is modern traditional — the colours shown on the site are suggestions, so wear any modern traditional colour you love. Come ready to sing and dance: there will be a live band and traditional singers, and Umgcagco and Umabo take place outdoors, so bring shoes you can dance in comfortably.
